Zagreb-based IT company KING ICT contributed to the digitization of the campus at St. John’s Fortress in Šibenik by donating computer equipment. This was part of a meticulously planned teambuilding event held in the vicinity of Krešimir’s city.
In addition to its advanced technology and projects, KING ICT has become known among young people in recent years for its teambuilding activities, which include attractive locations and a rich program for more than 700 employees. This number grows each year. Beyond work, sports, and entertainment activities, KING ICT employees prioritize leaving something good behind, which includes humanitarian activities and digitization.
This year, the teambuilding location was Šibenik area, with one of the most attractive and beautiful sites being St. Michael’s Fortress, which has proudly stood as a symbol of the city for a thousand years. Due to its beauty and invaluable historical significance for Šibenik, KING ICT chose this location for the working part of its teambuilding, as well as a grand party that delighted all attendees.
Šibenik’s fortresses are managed by the Fortress of Culture Šibenik institution. After the teambuilding event, KING ICT donated computer equipment for conferences and teaching needs at the campus within St. John’s Fortress. With this donation, KING ICT further supported the Fortress of Culture, which already uses a range of modern technological solutions at its locations – St. Michael’s Fortress, Barone Fortress, St. John’s Fortress, the House of Arts Arsen, and the Coral Center Zlarin.
“We were thrilled with the city and the hospitality of the Fortress of Culture institution, and we are grateful for the warm reception at these beautiful locations. As our motto is ‘building a digital future,’ we wanted to leave a mark in Šibenik as well. With this donation, we aimed to help digitize the campus at St. John’s Fortress, hoping that in the future, Šibenik will be recognized not only for its beauty but also as an ICT center. We are pleased that Šibenik recognizes the value of digitization. I would also like to remind everyone that KING ICT recently implemented an intelligent transport system (ITS) in the city, which has improved the traffic experience,” said Sendi Radić, a member of the KING ICT board.
Gorana Barišić Bačelić, the director of the Fortress of Culture, expressed gratitude and highlighted that the new computer equipment will further help brand the campus at St. John’s Fortress as an ideal location for exchanging existing knowledge and generating new ideas, experiences, and insights.
“This campus, located within the walls of a centuries-old fortress, opened two years ago along with the renovated largest and highest Šibenik fortress, and it has already been recognized by thousands of scientists, professors, individuals, companies, and educational institutions from Croatia and Europe. Therefore, there is no doubt that now, with even better-equipped classrooms, it will continue to be a key factor in educational tourism in Šibenik year-round,” said Barišić Bačelić.
Sendi Radić emphasizes that it is extremely important to KING ICT that employees are satisfied, and teambuilding is just one way the company shows this satisfaction.
“We always listen to the wishes of our employees, and it is important to us that everything goes as well as possible. We are proud that our teambuilding event won the award for the best event of 2022. It is the Ambassador recognition for the best organization (KING ICT + Team Building Croatia) awarded by the Croatian Meeting Professionals Association,” said Sendi.
In addition to sports, work, and entertainment activities included in each teambuilding event, KING ICT ensures a humanitarian aspect is integrated into the project as well. A humanitarian note was thus introduced into the sports activities, with the winners of sports competitions deciding which local organizations KING would donate financial resources to. Donations were made to the organizations Izvor ljubavi, Aurora, Ardura, and ZvoniMir.
