KING ICT presented advanced industrial and critical infrastructure solutions

Zagreb, 21 November 2024 – KING ICT held an event focused on physical protection and critical infrastructure security at the ClubHouse Golf venue. The event gathered leading regional experts in the fields of physical protection and cyber security. Attendees had the opportunity to learn about the latest technology solutions for business resilience that comply with European regulations and standards.

During the event, they were also introduced to innovative products and solutions from the KING ICT portfolio. Experts shared their experiences and provided practical advice on identifying technical threats and deploying converged security solutions.

Introductory lecture was given by Nino Talian, Head of Cyber Security at KING ICT, who explained the important role of cyber security in physical protection and the compliance with the new European Union directive (NIS2). The primary goal of NIS2 is to enhance the resilience and security of critical infrastructures and services across the EU.

Primary focus was on providing practical examples, with KING ICT’s Director of Physical Security and Passive Network Solutions Sector, Matija Mandić, discussing convergent security solutions for smart cities and infrastructure.

“Various forms of threats in both physical and cyber space require a comprehensive approach to developing an integrated security concept. Each security system deployment demands a tailored approach to find the best solution for the end user,” emphasized Matija.

He went on to explain how convergent security solutions, based on a single integration platform (Genetec Security Center – Unified Security), certified according to the strictest cyber security standards, offer users a high level of resilience to various forms of cyber threats while ensuring superior manageability and control over the entire system.

“Our innovative contribution, through the development of proprietary hardware (FED – Fusion Edge Device) and software products on a relevant platform, enables us to create custom user-focused solutions. These add significant value to the systems we deliver across various sectors and industries, such as critical infrastructure, smart cities, and intelligent transport systems (ITS),” said Matija.

Fusion Edge Device – Innovation by KING ICT

Demonstration of the FED (Fusion Edge Device), an innovative product from the KING ICT portfolio presented by its inventors Aleksandar Roksandić and Krunoslav Kanjuh from KING ICT, sparked special interest.

The event continued with lectures by international experts, including Ludwig Rockinger and Piotr Rogalewicz from Genetec, who presented Genetec’s solutions for protecting critical infrastructure and cloud-based security solutions as a service (SaaS). KING ICT thanked the partners who helped organize the event: Genetec, AXIS, NOX Systems, HID, and Suprema.

KING ICT continues to support its customers in facing new security challenges, providing tools for building resilient ecosystems and ensuring compliance with relevant EU directives.
